Some of our foundation pacers

Just some of our amazing pacers who will be ready come pace day.

Josh
Foundation Pacer & Founder
Josh, founder of MyPacer, has been running since he was 15. Originally from Hertfordshire, UK, he now enjoys morning runs on the Gold Coast. Inspired by his dad's London Marathon finish at 12, Josh aims to break the sub-3-hour marathon mark and qualify for all 7 world marathon majors as a 'good for age' athlete. With experience training friends and family, he shares tips on training, fueling, and tech, especially his favorite Garmin. He’s also signed up as an official Pacer for a couple of marathons in 2026.
Laura
Foundation Pacer
Laura, a Gold Coast local from Sydney, took up running to challenge herself and loves the post-run high! Last year, she won all four short courses in the SEQ trail series, becoming the overall champion. This year, she broke the course record at Enoggera and has a half marathon personal best of 1:22. Now training for the Tarawera 50km trail ultra in February, Laura appreciates her friends at @northsrunclub and enjoys helping others reach their running goals.
Harris
Foundation Pacer
Harris, a Gold Coast local, started running for mental health and has become passionate about it. He has impressive PBs, including a sub-1:30 half marathon and a sub-40 10km. Harris has completed several ultra marathons, including the 12hr Butter24 track ultra this year, where he placed 2nd. We’re excited to have him support runners as they push their endurance limits.
Jack
Foundation Pacer
Meet Jack Saunders, your next foundation pacer and a favorite triathlete from the Gold Coast! He discovered running and triathlon during COVID while losing weight, starting with 2.5-kilometer runs around his block. What began as a struggle turned into a passion over five years, leading him to become an endurance sport coach with @endurostrengthperformance while finishing his physiotherapy degree. Living on the Gold Coast, he loves running at Talle Creek with music in his ears!
Jodie
Foundation Pacer
I have lived on the Gold Coast for 30 years, originally from Brisbane. As the founder of @informrunningjodie, I coach runners of all ages, conduct strength training for seniors, and have been an accredited Run Coach for 8 years. My journey into long-distance running began in 2015, and I've completed various events, including 100km trails and marathons. I’ve also participated in charity runs like Bravehearts 777. I love pacing at events and helping others achieve their running goals within our vibrant community.
our founders
Built by runners, for runners

Josh had been running for years, but the grind of training alone was starting to wear him down. Long runs dragged on endlessly, alarms were too easy to snooze, and without a training partner his pacing was always hit-or-miss. His watch could track splits, but it couldn’t correct his form or give him the push he needed mid-run. On race days he found himself surrounded by thousands, realising too late that training in isolation hadn’t prepared him for the rhythm and energy of competition.

That frustration became the spark. Josh knew runners like him didn’t just need another tracker, they needed connection, accountability, and real-time support. That’s why he set out to build a platform where solo training could feel less lonely, and where runners could tap into the motivation of having a partner by their side, anytime and anywhere.
